The Mobiun Granite™ technology platform provides applications with consistent and reliable behaviour, connectivity, performance and manageability across the full range of mobile phones that can be found in the market today.
The Mobiun Granite™ platform consists of four categories of components:
Applications
The Mobiun applications are originated within the server environment and are delivered by OTA (together with the appropriate Handset Engine) to the selected mobile phones.
Handset Engines
The handset engines sit within the specific mobile phone environment, for example: Symbian, Window Mobile, J2ME, DoJa and OSDL Mobile Linux Initiative environments and deliver the consistent solution environment.
Server Engines
The server engines run within a Web 2.0 environment and deliver the management and data provisioning capabilities to the solutions.
Connectivity Services
The connectivity services bridge the Handset and Server engines, to provide reliable, secure, scalable and adaptable communications. The Connectivity service can dynamically choose from SMS, MMS and GPRS/3G socket based communications for the delivery of transactions.
