How are the mobile phone applications deployed?
Mobiun applications are deployed using Over the Air Technology (OTA) or can be pre installed onto new handsets. A message is sent to your customer’s mobile phone asking them if they want the application. Once accepted, it is automatically installed over-the-air and available for immediate use. Application and data updates are performed automatically.

Providing "WAP" based web services for handsets has had little success. Why are Mobiun applications better than WAP-based services?
WAP services suffer from slow and limited user interfaces, require multiple key-strokes and can be expensive to use. They are also difficult to utilise for solutions that must push data or services to the phone. Mobiun applications are designed with user-friendly and mobile-friendly interfaces requiring minimum key-strokes and ensuring secure, cost-effective data flow.
There are over twenty active global manufacturers and more than 350 different handsets currently shipping. Even the software environments of different handsets within each manufacturer vary significantly. Does this handset fragmentation make development and testing, difficult and expensive?
